Saiqa Iqbal Meghna is a Dhaka based award winning architect who is working accross practice and academia. As a trailblazer women architect, she has received several awards in the field of Architecture including the highest national award in architecture the IAB award twice, ARCASIA Award, Berger Award, Monsoon Architecture Award, 1st prize for IDCOL Green Building, 2nd Prize for Gulshan Club, 3rd Prize for Liberation War Museum, 1st prize in Idea Project Category of Holcim Green Built Bangladesh, to name a few. Graduating from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and further honing her skills with a master's from the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), Spain, along with attending the Glenn Murcutt International Master Class on a scholarship, Meghna's academic background is as diverse as it is profound. She is also a distinguished faculty of the Department of Architecture, BRAC University. She was awarded Erasmus Mundus Scholarship twice as exchanged faculty of Architecture. She presented design works in international conferences including invited panelist at SOAS University of London, Emergent Architectural Practices organized by South Asian Institute of Harvard GSD, Keynote Speech invited by Indian Institute of Architects Odisha Chapter and her works have been published and exhibited by notable international publishers and curators. Her design of Zebun Nessa Mosque for garment workers is widely published in prominent national and international platforms. She has been awarded the prestigious 34th JK Architect of the Year for Zebun Nessa Mosque.
